Markey's Goes Red at the JW Marriott Indianapolis

02/27/2013
The American Heart Association's Go Red For Women is a national organization aimed at educating women how to live healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases.  Go Red For Women holds a variety of events as part of this education and fundraising, most notably their Go Red for Women Luncheons.  These are held in cities throughout the United States.  Markey's Rental & Staging is proud to be a supporter of this cause, not only in Indianapolis, home of our headquarters, but in other cities where our branch offices can support the cause.  Our Merrillville, Indiana branch at the Radisson Star Plaza has provided audiovisual services for Go Red for Women Luncheons, as has our Fort Wayne, Indiana branch and our Columbus, Ohio office.

The most recent luncheon was held at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, where Markey's is the in-house audiovisual provider. With attendance at 910 people, it was important that all the guests would be able to hear and see both the speakers onstage and the various videos shown.  To this end, Markey's used Christie projectors for the two 10.5' x 14' screens on either side of the stage.  Arri 1K Fresnel lights were used to illuminate both the host, Anne Marie Tiernon, and the guest speakers she interviewed.

The stage design incorporated a 16' x 40' Cyc on which the Go Red For Women logo  (a red dress) was projected via GOBO.  Soft, feminine lighting was achieved utilizing uplighting with Martin Stagebar 2s.  Defining the edges of the stage set were 16' pleated columns, lit with Elation ELAR Led lights.  White couches, a coffee table and plants were arranged in a cozy living room format, appropriate for the conversations happening on stage.
